Marketing Services > Branding > Tag-lines
Business tag-lines are a variation of a branding slogan. The concept is simple: create a memorable phrase that will sum up the tone and premise of a brand; or product/service; or to reinforce the consumer's memory of a product or service. In marketing, a tag-line can make or break your efforts.
Daily Blog Tips has put together "The Best Website Taglines Around the Internet". Although is this collection is not complete, it does highlight corporations that have successfully developed and deployed tag-lines for their websites.
Tag-lines can also be part of your unique service proposition (USP). A USP is a short statement that clearly states the value you provide as the customer sees it; it does not state how you provide that value. Check out Jay Abraham's "How to create a USP" to gain a better understanding of what a USP should be.
The key to great tag-lines are creativity, originality, and confidence. It is about creating your own voice and idea and not just copying what others are doing. Your tag-line should define you as a leader, and not a follower.
